So, after months of hard work, chants of Team Bread and Butta, tweets of #TeamTessanne, instagram updates of preparation videos and photos plus other media blasts, Tessanne has finally done it. Yes, Tessanne is THE VOICE.
Venturing from Caribbean soil into unknown territory ever so humble, Tessanne has helped Jamaica to accomplish another amazing goal. Her name will be stained in memories for a long time, her thrilling voice will warm our hearts and, as we approach the Christmas season this is definitely one of the best gift we could ever receive. Little Jamaica proves to be bigger than the average once more.
Memories will be numerous in terms of the voice, for instance; everyone saying Adam needs to be reminded Tess is married, how all four judges wanted Tess on their team, the down to earth way Tess stuck to her roots and didn’t leave patois out, the way people loved to hear her say “BREAD AND BUTTA” and how Christina could not seem to give Tess a compliment without comparing to herself. We will remember each show sitting on the edge of our couches or beds anticipating the results wondering if Tess is still a part of it, tweeting like crazy to keep her in the game, running up our phone bills, finishing our minutes and all the works that came with keeping Tess into THE VOICE.
We might not have been there in body but in spirit we were with her all the way lending our support. We showed the world that Jamaica supports her own no matter where we are in the world from Australasia to North America we all made sure Tessanne felt the support. It was a great journey and the opening of many doors, breaking of many barriers I might add. So I now end this article in saying Tessanne, we are very proud of you, it was a wonderful journey and thank you ever so much for the experience.
