Only 24 hours after Squash 6ix Boss released his diss track "Funeral Program" Alkaline has responded with his own track titled "Most Wanted". The lyrical battle has been getting more heated as both artist has been injecting deep personal jabs. In This track Alkaline states that his badness is modern and the Squash entire family will get it. From the fans point of view it's all fun and entertainment until in get physical, let us all hope it doesn't get to that point. Listen Aklaline's respond below.
Singer and songwriter Tessanne Chin today announced that she is expecting a baby girl in 2020.
Chin, who shot to stardom following her win of Season 5 of NBC's reality tv singing competition, The Voice, shared the news to her almost 200,000 followers on Instagram. In the post, Chin is seen kissing her myster man in the background of a photograph with pink baby shoes in the foreground. "Oh Baby" an excited Chin capteions the post. Congratulatory messages mixed with expressions of shock quickly followed the post. Naomi Garrick, Kaci Fennel and Yendi Phillips were among the first to hail the mom-to-be One person wrote, “Woaah I feel like a proud mom. I've been waiting. Congratulations!†And another wrote, “What? I’m so happy. Congratulations! You’ll make a great mommy.† I'm actually writing to you in shock, pain, and with a broken heart. I've been with this girl for almost a year. I trusted and loved her so much that we agreed to start having unprotected sex. This girl cheated on me, Pastor, and on top of that she gave me an infection; possibly AIDS. I said possibly AIDS because I haven't had a check-up yet.  If it was left up to actress and broadcaster Rosie Murray, noted Jamaican folklorist Louise Bennett Coverley, popularly known as Miss Lou, would be named among Jamaica's national heroes.
Miss Lou, who would have turned 100 yesterday, is recognised as the first lady of Jamaican theatre, and her writing, poetry, radio broadcasts and performances, primarily with the National Pantomime, have become part of the nation's cultural history. As part of the centenary celebrations her main square in Gordon Town, St Andrew, is to be renamed Louise Bennett Square. Murray spoke with pride at her opportunity to share the stage with Miss Lou nearly 30 years ago, when the cultural icon returned to Jamaica for a special performance titled 'Miss Lou and Friends' held at the Little Theatre in St Andrew. She noted that evening cemented a long-standing admiration she had for Miss Lou who, for her, had long been championing the acceptance of Jamaican folk culture from as far back as the 1950s. That for Murray underpins her status and therefore makes her worthy of receiving the country's highest national honour.  Alkaline is the latest dancehall artiste who has had his visa revoked. He joins fellow deejays who has had their visas revoked Beenie Man, Mavado and Bounty Killer.
It is reported that the move was made by the US immigration after he released a politically motivated track titled Save Yourself in which he addressed Jamaica and Caribbean nations, saying “You can’t change my pride,you can’t take my power.” Alkaline has since dismissed the act as a joke; however the United States Embassy in Kingston did not share his humour as his visa was subsequently revoked on May 13.  Republic Records says Drake’s Views sold 1.2 million copies worldwide in under six days. Republic also claims the album was streamed over 250 million times on Apple Music in the same time period. Over 200 million of those streams came from inside the United States.
Physical copies of Views will be available starting tomorrow (May 6) as well as digital downloads from retailers like iTunes. Streaming rights for the album will stay with Apple Music for another week; on May 13, Spotify and other streaming competitors will receive Views.
 The police are reporting that they have begun a probe into the fatal shooting of a correctional officer on main street Bog Walk, St Catherine last night.The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Roman Bent of Ackels district, Kitson Town, in the parish, and is said to have worked at the St Catherine Adult Correctional Facility.
Reports from the police are that about 10:00 pm, there was an altercation between Bent and two members of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) during which he was shot. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The police say that the matter has been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).  REPUTED Klansman leader Tesha Miller is expected to be closely watched by the police after he arrives in Jamaica, following his serving of a prison term in the United States.
Commissioner of Police Dr Carl Williams told journalists on Friday that the police have been “doing our planning to ensure that [Miller] doesn’t add to our problems”. Miller, who was convicted in the United States in 2014 on a charge of illegal entry, was scheduled to arrive in the island yesterday. News last year that he would have been released early, triggered anxiety among Spanish Town, St Catherine residents as there was an intense battle at the time for leadership of the criminal Klansman gang that is supportive of the ruling People’s National Party. Now news has broke that a Dancehall Artiste “Lanmine” has now pierced his entire leftside of his face which earned him instant “shock value” being that this is a first for any Dancehall artiste.With Dancehall being not only a genre of Jamaican popular music, but also a way of life and a culture which reflects for the most part the practices of communities and its people. It is understandable why the artiste involved have been known to not only be good at producing quality lyrics but one could say its also a requirement to be a trend setter and to stand out.  The origin of 50 Cent and Rick Ross’ feud dates back over five years, to a point when both were at vastly different stages in their careers, but the veteran rappers still fire shots in each other’s direction every now and then for sport. And the game was on again on Friday (Nov. 6). As he often does, 50 kicked things off, posting a picture of a shirt that depicts Ross’ naked torso. Boredom will do that to you sometimes.
 48-days until Sting 2015 War is in the air with Beenie Man and Mavado at it. Beenie Man raised eyebrows after he released a new Mavado diss song a few days ago. The questionable “King of the dancehall” teamed with DJ Frass Records to drop “Think Mi A Simma” a new diss track aimed at Mavado.
With lyrics: “A who da bredda deh a chat / A couldn’t me, but him say Doc / A weh do blacks, barber boy mi can tell yo something,” Beenie said in the intro. “Dancehall a my empire, dancehall a my empire … A weh do rapper groupie mi a shooty shooty / Informer works that a no mi duty / My war no sweet like tutti frutti / unleash the beast yo no see no beauty,” the dancehall hitmaker deejay over the Wild Wild West Riddim. This week in the hot seat is Norris Adrian Burrell (NB) who goes by his stage name Jolly Kavalli. He is a talented up-and-coming Jamaican recording artiste who developed a passion and tenacity for his native music since the age of seven.
He was motivated by his stepfather, the late Jah Son to pursue a career in the music industry. Read More >>>>  Dr. Tashni Dubroy was named the president of Shaw University. The 34-year-old Jamaican native is the second Jamaican and also the third female to serve as president of the university. Dubroy’s appointment becomes effective August 1, 2015. Watch the 17th president press conference held on Monday, June 1.
Dubroy graduated summa cum laude from Shaw University in 2002, and earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. She earned a Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from North Carolina State University in 2007 and in 2010 she graduated with an MBA in marketing from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Dubroy began her career as a research scientist at BASF, the world’s leading chemical company. She quickly moved up the ranks, earning two promotions within a two-year period. Following her tenure at BASF, Dubroy was hired by her alma mater in 2011, where she served as an associate professor of chemistry and later the department chair of Shaw’s department of natural sciences and mathematics.  Put up your “OWN” cash or shut up. Lil Wayne calls out Meek Mill for twitter rant by challenging the known battle rapper to a 10 million dollar rap battle. Meek Mill has not replied to the challenge at the time this article was published but we plan to update you with info as soon as we receive. Wayne tells the MMG artist to put up his own cash because Lil Wayne must know Meek Mill may not even have 10 million cash let alone 10 million cash to lose.
Meek Mill took to twitter on late Tuesday night early Wednesday morning going crazy about Drake and we all knew it was only a matter of time before Lil Wayne would step in. Especially with the drama between him and Birdman going on Wayne is not looking for anymore issues with his income sources. Birdman already messing with his bread with this album release and Drake along with Nicki Minaj are revenue streams for Lil Wayne Young Money Records.  Just a few nights ago Meek Mill decided to keep us up past our bedtime with his unexpected Twitter rant!
One of his targets was non other than his current girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, former long time boyfriend Safaree “SB” Samuels. Meek came out the blue and tweeted about an old video where a 17 year old Safaree was dancing and “twerking” in. Anyone who is Jamaican or even knows a Jamaican can tell you it’s not uncommon to see that kind of dancing in the battle he was in. Anywho, Meek used that opportunity to slander Safaree saying “This Ni**a SB was twerking mannnnnnnn…I always thought you was gay letting ya girl do all that shot with niggas while yall where together.” Well according to TMZ, SB broke his silence and had some words for the Meek. He said Meek should be less concerned with his moves and more concerned about Nicki instead. Why you ask? He also slidin the fact the Nicki still reaches out to him from time to time! Lawddddd!!!! #Drama k  Lil Wayne was kicked off the private jet he chartered minutes after takeoff, because the rapper lit up a joint almost immediately after wheels up.
We're told Wayne told the pilot before takeoff at a Ft. Lauderdale airport, he and his entourage wanted to smoke during the flight. The pilot could not have been clearer ... absolutely not. But shortly after takeoff, Wanye and his posse lit up, and the pilot was in no mood to negotiate. The captain turned the plane around 17 minutes after takeoff and landed it where it came from. It looks like Wayne brought his own beverages, because we got this photo in which he's holding a double cup. We're told it contained pink/purple liquid, consistent with sizzurp. Wayne has had problems with sipping sizzurp on private jets in the past. TMZ broke the story he suffered some pretty wicked seizures from the codeine drink back in 2013. Wayne's camp denies he was smoking in flight. They say they were told the plane turned around for mechanical problem. |
