Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, Dr. Gabrielle Henry, is receiving an outpouring of love and support after she was hospitalised following a fall during the evening gown segment of the Miss Universe preliminary competition in Thailand.
The incident occurred ahead of this weekend’s highly anticipated Miss Universe Finals. According to an official statement from the Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation, Dr. Henry did not sustain any life-threatening injuries. However, she is currently undergoing further medical tests at the Paolo Rangsit Hospital as doctors work to ensure her full recovery.
In their release, the organisation encouraged Jamaicans and supporters worldwide to keep Henry in their thoughts:
“We kindly ask everyone to stay upbeat, lift her up in prayer, and send positive thoughts as she receives the necessary medical care. We thank everyone for their outpouring of love, support, and continued prayers.”
Despite the setback, Dr. Henry’s spirit remains strong. She has expressed confidence and positivity while enjoying her time in Thailand, fully embracing the cultural experiences and opportunities that come with being part of the prestigious pageant.
A passionate advocate for the visually impaired, Henry founded the See Me Foundation, an initiative dedicated to creating educational and economic opportunities for Jamaicans who are blind or have low vision. Her commitment to service and empowerment has earned her admiration both locally and internationally.
The 74th staging of the Miss Universe competition will take place on November 21 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand, and will air live on RushPrime. While fans were hoping to see Dr. Henry shine on the stage, their primary focus now is her health and recovery.
As Jamaica waits for further updates, one thing is certain: Dr. Gabrielle Henry has already demonstrated remarkable resilience, grace, and national pride.
